Assistant Plant Manager

The Job:

  • Share the responsibilities of the Plant Manager and assume those responsibilities in the absence of the Plant Manager
  • Gain a full understanding of how production methods are determined and created
  • Be primary in the determination and entire process of job scheduling where jobs move through a multi-departmental manufacturing environment
  • Assist in the custom product quotation workload
  • Assist in the pursuit of cost reductions throughout the manufacturing process
  • Assist in the administration of the Physical Plant
  • Assist in the Supervision of bargaining and non-bargaining employees within the defined areas of the Company’s Table of Organization
  • Provide administrative assistance throughout the plant when needed
  • The Assistant Plant Manager will report to the Plant Manager and Senior Management
  • Understand that this is a snapshot of responsibilities and is not inclusive

The Candidate:

  • Ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of production scheduling in a manufacturing environment
  • History of working well with production employees while maintaining a cordial and professional demeanor
  • History of successful implementation of innovative operating procedures and methods to eliminate obstacles in production
  • Work within the policies of the Company
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
